So much for 2012...
I'm out.... Again. I think it's time to go see an RE. I've dabbled with the idea for too long. We've been trying for a year, 13 or 14 cycles. I don't even know anymore. The sad part is that going into this whole TTC journey, I really thought we'd have a baby by now.

 Going to see a RE would def be the right thing now IMO. Does your regular gyno you've been tyring for so long? I just went to my dr after 5 months of trying (I lied and said it was 6 so they would see me  ) But my Dr. doesn't seem to think I ovulate and have some signs of PCOS. I'm going for blood test to see if I ovulate and if AF shows her ugly face this month I'll be going back for more bloodwork to see if I have the hormone for PCOS.
Long story short- all my friends that know I'm TTC kinda thought I was crazy for going to the Dr. after such a short (to them at least!) amount of time but I'm so happy I did, I felt something wasn't right.
Good luck... DONT GIVE UP. Keep us updated

I am so sorry ! I agree that if its been a year then an RE is the next step. The good thing about seeing one is they will run tests that your ob/gyn would not normally do to figure out any issues.

I'm so sorry! I agree that it's time to see an RE. I know it's a long journey, but trust me, when you start to see an RE you will have hope again b/c you know you're one step closer to having your little baby. Good luck in 2013!

I'm so sorry. I haven't been trying as long as you, but I really thought I would get pregnant in 2012. I'm going to see an RE next week. It certainly can't hurt for you to set up an initial appt and see how things go.
Hoping we both get our BFP in 2013!

I feel your pain! I am so sorry that you are going through this. I know what you are going through. I just started seeing an RE I pushed it off for such a long time..I kept just going on cycle after cyle..I thought I would have a baby by now too. Going to an RE makes me feel so much fore confident that my body is doing what it's supposed to be doing so there have been no suprises! I wish you lots of luck in 2013!!

Thanks Ladies!
To answer some of your questions- I've already had bloodwork and some testing done through my ob/gyn. Everything looked normal and she didn't think I had any obvious issues. Supposedly I'm ovulating normally and my cycle is (fairly) regular. Next step is for DH to get tested and to get a game plan. I don't want to waste another year.

So much for 2012...
last year we started TTC in August but I knew i had PCOS. we tried on our own until Jan and then i didn't want to waste more time so I made an appointment with a RE in Feb. I wish i hadn't waited so long! Feb was wasted and into March was more testing. We didn't actually start trying with the RE until April and that first month was a bust. Thankfully we were able to get pregnant on our second month trying with a RE on our first IUI.
Good luck to you and i would highly reccomend seeing one! like previous posters have said, it will give you hope that you WILL have your baby in your arms!
