So mad at myself...
I have been making a few mistakes lately at my job. I know its because I have been planning our large end of the year meeting and have been pulled in ten different directions lately.
There have been at least 3 mistakes that have been called to my attention by supervisors. I get really upset and beat myself up about these mistakes.
If anyone could give me any advice that you use in your job to keep organized etc...so I stop making these silly mistakes. They are honestly the most silly mistakes that I make because I have a mountain of work on my plate.

make yourself a to-do list at the beginning of each day and do things one by one. this helps me stay organized and get things done in order

Re: So mad at myself...
I use my calendar in Microsoft outlook and color code things in order of importance and task. Also, I keep spreadsheets of all the work I am doing and what needs to be followed up on, where I left off on something, and what is complete, that way when my boss asks, I just pull up that spreadsheet.
Excel Spreadsheets are my best friend at work!

Cut yourself some slack first of all. You are not super woman.
I use lists and write everything in a spiral bound notebook. I cross it off after I complete it.
It works and very few things fall through the cracks.

What kind of mistakes are you having? Are they like follow up mistakes? Or are they on the actual work you are submitting?

Re: So mad at myself...
One mistake was one of my sales reps needed something that we were out of stock of. I looked around went out my way to try and find this item for them and took one I did not know I was should not have taken. That one not a huge deal...
The other one, I was working on some special gifts and suprises for my sales meeting this week. I was told the things I gifts and things I needed to get. I had limit time, so I was so happy I got them done.
We had a huge dinner on Weds, and I was under the impression they were for that dinner. I was wrong. I know I should asked someone what they were for, but I was so caught up in getting them done. I was also a little upset that no one filled me in either...but I always could have asked.
I am just that type of person that beats themselves up when they make a mistake.
