So I've decided the LI Wineries are my new hobby....
I went on a tasting tour yesterday for my friends 30th and we had a blast! I swore there was no way I could get drunk by just tasting wine all day but I was wrong! We went to Osprey, Pugliese, and Vineyard 48. This was my first time ever out there and I am hooked!
I am normally not a white wine lover but I bought a delicious chardonnay at Osprey - Regina Maris - it tastes like butter!

i know....i was hooked immediately myself
of course that was over 6 years ago now
wait till you go to all the others
it is a lot of fun
especially comparing the wines and how they change year to year

I just did a search on LI Wineries on LIF.....
You say that you go a lot w your DH - just the 2 of you go and drive there? Knowing how I felt yesterday (we were in a limo)I dont know if I could drive just DH and I you know? So what do you and your DH do?
So far out of the 3 I went to I like Osprey best. I cant wait to visit more!!!

We had the limo from 10-4 and there were 7 of us. It cost us $112 each. We got tastings at 3 wineries and lunch.

I love going out there too. When it gets a little colder we love to go out to Osprey and get a bottle of the Spiced Wine. You heat it up...it's sooooooo good!

I love the wineries!! They are the best, especially in the fall and its cool out you can have a picnic on their property and a bottle of wine!!!! I hope to go next month with my Brothers & Sister!!!!

I also went to the wineries yesterday, had the best day! We tasted at a few then we had a picnic at Bedell. We ended our day going to a few farms including Breimeirs(?) for pie! I love going out there.

Just bought a bottle of this a few weeks ago - can't wait to try it on a cold winter's night!
I love the vineyards, just wish that I lived closer.
