So, I've completed my first...
Biathalon! 
I've been training like crazy and I am so proud of myself! Today I did the Brooklyn Biathalon. Other than pulling my achilies , I am very happy with what I did. But it was bothering me before the race and the last leg of the race it really slowed me down and I stopped twice. 
But, my time was respectable, finished in the top 1/2 and came in 18th place for my division It really slowed me down that I had a mountain bike, but I'm getting a new bike soon so hopefully my new bike will be better for the next time! I might do the Queens one coming up in a few weeks.
Sorry, I just had to brag. I can't believe how far I've come.

I know what you mean about using a mountain bike...that's probably why I have always hated the bike section of triathlons!
If anyone is looking for a great (FLAT!) sprint triathlon...there is one in hyannis cape cod. you can make a little vacation out of it.

I'm not sure if it's too late to sign up for june, but they do it again in spetember.
