Our ped is definitely aware of alternative and nontraditional treatments, and has recommended some for other things in the past. The problem with things like Hyland's tablets, etc. is that they are not regulated by the FDA, so there is no true "authority" keeping them in check and verifying that what they are asserting is true and that their product is 100% safe. That is the concern with products like that. It would not have been recalled if it was 100% undeniably safe.
Sorry but I am going to have to disagree with this. There are many things not regulated that are not recalled. And it was a voluntary recall. If you do some research on Belladonna poisoning then you will see how ridiculous this whole thing is. You are putting your child at a much bigger risk by giving them tylenol or motrin, both regulated.
I trust Hylands way more then I trust the FDA.
I agree Katie and not too long ago all baby meds made by tylenol were recalled as well.
If I'm thinking of the same recall, it was only ones with a certain batch number(s) because an error was made in the production of those specific batches. It wasn't about the process or ingredients of all tylenol products.
I just meant that tylenol makers are governed by the FDA, but they have recalls too. I don't even think they are back on the shelves yet. I'm so frustrated by all the recalls on things that are fda approved all the time so the whole fda approval isn't worth much imo.

I haven't been able to find them ANYWHERE
The recall is still effective; I haven't seen them anywhere either.
I like Humphreys and have been using them occasionally with DD.
