So if you registered for a travel system...
Are you also going to register for an umbrella stroller? (For when the baby is older...toddler age).
I was thinking about it, but I think maybe it would be best to see what our needs and preferences are once we get into the swing of things....

Re: So if you registered for a travel system...
Your probably better off waiting till the baby gets older for a few reasons 1. you don't know if the travel system is going to work for you(either people love it or hate it IMO) 2. Styles, patterns, and brands change and improve mostly over the years, so if your not planning on using it for a few years, i would wait to see whats available when you need it.

Re: So if you registered for a travel system...
my bf gave me a travel system. I registered for an umbrella stroller because i figure starting around 6 or so months it'll be good to have a light weight option..

If you plan on getting a snap and go, you can skip the travel system and only get an infant car seat. It is possible to skip the travel system stroller and go from the snap and go to the umbrella stroller.

you can skip the travel system, however i like an actual stroller. the snap & go isn't a stroller at all. it's just a frame for the infant seat. i would want the full stroller then get an umbrella stroller when i want a light weight stroller later on

Re: So if you registered for a travel system...
you can actually use an umbrella stroller once your child sits upright on their own- so from around 6 months onward.
Additionally depending on the umbrella stroller you could get away with not needing another stroller if the recline is fully flat.

honestly, my son is 9 months old and i only use the regular stroller. the umbrella stroller is too flimsy IMO for a baby this age. it would be fine for short trips, but when we go to the mall and for walks, i want him to recline and take a nap comfortably. he can't do that in my umbrella stroller.
if you get a light travel system, they're no big deal. i have the graco metrolite and never used my snap and go because there was no point. it's just a frame, where i liked the stroller better because i could cover the baby when he slept.

that's what i was thinking as well...
i think i will stick with the travel system and then re-evaluate when he gets bigger...i can always go out and get an umbrella stroller if need be.
Thanks!
