so i went to work just for the day yesterday and...

it wassnt so bad. i dont know if i am just fooling myself becasue it was one day and i know i am home for three more weeks or what but...

I dropped her at the sitter i am using and she was fine there. I ddint cry when i left. in fact i think my dh was more upset. She is the only baby getting one on one attention so i am very happy about that.
I teach and yesterday was parent teacher confrences in the afternoon so i went in all day stayed with the sub and my kids in the mornign and then the kids left and parenst came at 1230. The kids rememeberd me even though i only worked 3 days with them in septmeber so that was nice. Then my principal thanked me a hundred times for comiing( i didnt get paid since i am on leave) and i felt really good being there but am i living in a dream world that i will feel this way when i go back?

I missed her a lot dont get me wrong but i am always so busy and even was yesteray that the day flew by. am i nuts? do i sound like a bad mommy?

You're not a bad mommy and it's probably a good thing that the day flew by or you would have been obsessing about DD.

I'm glad to hear that going back to work wasn't that bad; I go back in two weeks.

NOT a bad mommy - just a mommy who enjoys what she does, which is awesome! Glad you had a good trial day. I'm back full time this week and it's not NEARLY as bad as I was anticipating. I'm enjoying having adult time, wearing nice clothes and going out to lunch. I have the occassional bout of guilt but overall it's not bad. Even though he got sick from daycare - honestly it's all working out OK and seeing him at the end of the day is THE BEST feeling in the world. Like Christmas morning, every day :)
