So, I went to the dr.

I had a routine checkup with a new dr and discussed TTC.

Unfortunately, he doesn't think I'm ovulating yet. This is my 3rd cycle off BCP so I know it's not uncommon, but still annoying. I was really hoping this month was "normal." I have had lots of CM and have had EWCM. He said my body is cycling but doesn't think it's ready to drop the egg yet. If I'm not pregnant by Jan, he said to come back and in the meantime, I should track my CM.

I thought I O'd around day 15 or 16, which would put me around 12DPO. Then I saw EWCM the other day (BD'd just in case). But after an internal exam he said my current CM doesn't look indicative of someone who had O'd and is about to get AF.

I so wish I went off BCP a long time ago!

I think I may be going through something similiar.

I'm wondering though...how does he explain your 2 other cycles off BCP if you aren't ovulating yet? Does he think you o'd those cycles? I've had one AF since being off BCP (it was a 57 day cycle) and I'm going through another long cycle now. Ugh...I totally agree about wishing I had gone off BCP earlier....

The funny thing is that I went off BCP in May figuring DH and I would really start late fall, but then we decided we were really ready. Guess my body's not.

I did too...I wonder if this is my problem, I don't have my annual until OCt, and my Dr. said it could take 6 months til I became "normal" she also said not to get frustrated until it has been a year that we are trying...grrr...I too wish I had come off earlier!Are you going to continue using the ovulation testers?

i have hope that i just recently O'ed this past weekend. really hopefully!! wont be able to confirm it til i temp a few more days...

since i know what you are going through (went off BCP on May 1st havent gotten a real AF yet - just a provera one) I can only recommend BBT temping so that you can confirm you O'ed without seeing the doctor.

otherwise every time you see EWCM BD. cause we all never know when its finally going to happen!!
