What you said to him was great. And the fact that your husband was there to witness it - even better!
We get to Penn and this guy got up quickly and was out the door immediately. We're walking off the train, and DH goes to me "Snugglebear???" And I just shrugged and said "I don't know. It just felt right at the time."
I think my DH was half highly amused and half mortified by what I said. I didn't say it too loud, though - since the guy was right in front of me. I just leaned and went for the kill.
The next guy to mess with my morning nap though... watch out!

You weren't on the Long Beach train were you? We have the guy on that train that thinks he's the enforcer of proper manners on the train. There was a story in Newsday about him today. They actually ruled not guilty on his case!

No, but I used to be on that line. I was terrified when I first heard of that guy -- luckily, it was after we moved. I never ran into him thankfully!
Is he a snugglebear?!

That was priceless. I can't wait to hear if he moves to another car tomorrow. I used to love that morning nap and hated when it was disturbed but when someone is trying to be considerate they don't need to be screamed at by a train psycho...

I kid you not, the woman was speaking more softly than most people having normal conversations at normal volumes on the train. I hate the loud cell phone talkers, too, but she wasn't one of them. The guy woke up the entire car with his screaming. (I take a pretty early train.)
Since I was sitting right behind him, I leaned in and said, "Hey, Snugglebear, Snugglebear! You just woke up the whole train - the whole train who managed to sleep through that woman's quiet conversation." He asked me what I called him, and I told him that if he can call women sweetheart, then I can call him snugglebear. Followed by, "Welcome to the 21st Century." My DH was sitting next to me cracking up. The guy put his earbuds back in and shut up for the rest of the ride.
Azzclown.
And my train in the AM is usually so nice and quiet.

I did not see Snugglebear this morning, but I didn't give a good enough look. I will have to keep an eye out. I have a feeling he may have found a new sweetheart in a different car.

I was about to ask the same question! Dh and I are always wondering if we'll ever see that guy on one of our trains!!!
