So I had my first really bad mommy moment...
Our ped recommended starting 1 minute time outs at their 12 month check up. (Paige is a biter) So Paige bite Mia and then bite me so I brought her upstairs for 1 minute in her crib.
We have a gate blocking the stairs and it has to snap closed in order to be locked. Well I put Paige in the crib, sit in my room to time the 1 minute. The next thing I know Mia is crawling into my bedroom. My heart dropped. She must have unlocked the gate (I guess it didn't snap) and climbed up 13 stairs.
I keep wondering what if. I can't imagine.

I agree with the PPs, dont worry, its just a reminder for next time.
The one thing I wanted to suggest...be careful about putting DD in the crib for time outs. I did that at one time with DS and he started freaking out at bedtime, I think he started to associate his crib with being in trouble.

Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will use the pack n play instead.

 dont think of what could have happened, tho easier said then done.. just remember to make sure locked next time.
I would change time out to a chair or spot on floor in room.. dont want her to get confused btwn bedtime/naps with being punished.
