My first crazy mommy moment

So I'm on this desperate search for a new job, I've been working as a music therapist at a preschool and I love it but the commute s*cks, so I was hoping while I was out on maternity I would be able to find something a little closer (I live in East Meadow but work in Shirley and Riverhead). So I finally found something (there's almost never openings in schools for a music therapist), I sent my resume via e-mail and received a call back within a few hours of sending it! Well, don't you know that Mikey chose the very moment I picked up my phone to start wailing!!! He was asleep not even 2 seconds before!! So I apologized to the principal and he just kept screaming louder and louder...I didn't know what to do-get her off the phone, try to comfort him, ignore him until I was finished...it was horrible. Meanwhile, she kept talking and I couldn't hear a single thing! I asked her if I could call back b/c my son was crying and she said yes, I asked for her name but he was screaming so loud I didn't even hear it! so I finally called her back thankfully the receptionist knew who would be calling for job interviews and I left a message. She hasn't called back yet...that was a few hours ago....I felt so unprofessional and scattered like one of those mom's that can't hold everything together-it was not one of my finest moments

The always pick the right moment to freak out! My DD always seems to cry whenever my DH has to go on a conference call.
