So frustrated
I am on CD45 with metformin... and nothing. I know that it can take a few months for it to start working, and I am being impatient. I upped my dose to 1500 mg about two weeks ago, the dr. said to call back in a month to see what happens. I have an appointment on Sept.5th. How long should I wait before asking for Clomid? I know she wanted me to be on the Met alone for 3 months before considering the next step of treatment, but if nothing happens when I call back after the month on 1500mg, I don't want to up my dose again, I don't think my stomach will be able to handle it.

Re: So frustrated
Do you mean how long should you wait for Clomid after your 9/5 appointment? If that's what you mean then I'd say don't wait - ask your doctor for it then! I'm not sure how much more they can up your dosage of the met...and if it's not working then it's not working! Good luck

Re: So frustrated
I was put on Met 3 months before we ttc. I was told if I wasn't pregnant 3 months after we started trying (so 6 months on Met) they would revamp my treatment. But if you are taking your pills on time and following a good diet and still nothing is happening I would ask you doctor what the next step is. Met works for some but not for all. At least you will know what to expect instead of playing the wait and see game. good luck

Sorry, I realize after reading what I wrote that it was confusing, but what I was wondering is if I should wait until the 9/5 appointment to ask for the Clomid, or if I should ask before then. They wanted my to call back after a month on 1500mg, which would be Aug. 17th, so I guess in reality, waiting a couple of more weeks wouldn't be horrible. I'll see what they say. Thanks, ladies!
