snow claustrophobia?

For as long as I can remember, during times like these where we are all snowed in, I have always been uneasy with the feeling of being "stuck."

I know many love being able to sit home and bake cookies and such, but I hate the feeling of NOT being able to leave easily, if I wanted to.

Anyone else like this?

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of it. I get cabin feverish veryyyy easily, so being trapped inside is not exactly my cup of tea.

I also have no sugar left to bake cookies and I already have a million cookies leftover from Christmas. No baking here!

If I am home, I don't worry about needing to get someplace. If I was stuck at work, I'd be freaking out. I do get cabin fever after a day or two.

Re: snow claustrophobia?

Yes!
Now on a normal day I LOVE sitting around the house doing nothing.
Trust me, I am not an active, go go go person at all!

But I think it's a control issue- knowing that I CAN'T leave bothers me.
I get cabin fever.

Looking out my front door to the un-shoveled front walk with snow blocking the door, was freaking me out a little. I live in a co-op complex & the staff just came around with the snow blower, so I feel a little better--that I could at least walk to the main road.

I dont - I would have much more anxiety if I were out driving in this.

Re: snow claustrophobia?

Outside the fact that we need some groceries I'm OK being stuck (I'm gratefulk to just be here after thinking we wouldn't make it home alive last night)

If we do need anything we can walk to 7-11 or CVS. Heaven forbid an emergency I know we wll be OK.
