Sneaky, Target.... regarding pain relief medicine
I was in target the other night picking up some stuff for my sick baby. I grabbed a bottle of the up and up version of tylenol for $6 something because tylenol was $3 more.
i then walk up to the front of the store to the pharmacy to get something else and passed the pain meds. the SAME exact product was $2.00 cheaper in the pharmacy section than the baby section. the infant and children's advil, tylenol and motrin were also a few dollars cheaper in this area of the store. i pulled the one in my basket out to compare it with the other one that looks EXACTLY the same (same packaging, size, flavor, etc.) but the barcodes were different.
So essentially, they are getting more from you because you have to get it for your sick child.... hence preying on us moms by marking it up in the baby section.
hope this helps someone save a few bucks. but overall, i thought this was weird. yes, this stuff is always cheaper in target as opposed to CVS or BRU, but to be very different prices in the same store??

Wow! I was just annoyed that the clearblue easy ovulation test was $25.99 online and available for store pickup and then when I went to the store today it was listed for $36.99! I didn't end up buying it because I thought I had remembered it being cheaper. That's just ridiculous to me and shady!

They will price match if you pull it up in your phone and show then. Stupid yes but I guess to get online shoppers there are deal they do.
I will be on the lookout. Thanks but I tend to shop in the pharmacy area first anyway.

Bru does the same thing. They say online is different from the store. I guess target does it.

Target & BRU & best buy will also price match to Amazon not just their own websites.

Online is different because of the costs to run the stores.

But, even if the signs are different, wouldn't the same product with the same bar code scan the same? Maybe someone just didn't adjust the price sign?

That's so frustrating - thanks for sharing I do know many places have different online/in store prices but target will price match if you pull it up on your phone
I just noticed this morning that the Duane reade/walgreens circular I got in the paper is different then what's in my local store.

That is insane, but unfortunately, not surprising. I think that target considers its on line store separate from its brick and mortar stores.

How odd.. If it is the same exactly all the way, the box printed had different codes then its a pain on the store too to stock properly. People pick things up and put them everywhere and most part timers are going to just put them back where they last saw that item.
I'm very curious why they had different bar codes and yeah I'd ask the manager. Something's off.
But thankfully you saw it. Still I'd rather set it straight for all the next customers and I'd want to know for sure they were identical. Box printing is done off site and way away.
