snacks for daycare - need ideas!

Help! I need snack ideas for DS. He is 9 months old and in daycare. I've been sending him with Puffs and little cheese squares. What else can I send in? I've tried Yo Baby with him and he always has a bad diaper explosion so I think that's a no. What else?!

Jen - Try the Soy Yo Baby...I had the same problem with Samantha with the yogurt at that age, and we went to the Soy until after she turned a year.

How about easy to eat pieces of fruit cut up small...

watermelon, blueberries (I cut them up into 4ths for DD)

Re: snacks for daycare - need ideas!

I'd send AJ with pureed pears and her 'trail mix'

Her trail mix was a mixed selection of two flavors of puffs, gerber cheese sticks, yogurt melts and cherrios - also other dissolving cracker type stuff that I can't remember the name of right now.

Later on I added gold fish and graham cracker gold fish to the 'trail mix'

I put it all in one of the puffs containers and had them serve her some for her snack.

I still haven't given Samanth goldfish... they scare me for some reason...

We are not big fruit people either. I often buy the already cut up pieces in the produce department of melons. And already sliced apple pieces.

I would try the goldfish and see what happens. DS used to be able to gum the goldfish without any teeth. We found baby goldfish much easier for him to chew than regular goldfish.
