Re: Smithown residents..

it's a small area of Smithtown-and it is a good area- I had a friend that lived over there and her home was beautiful. I lived close by...honestly, I wouldnt say there are any "bad" areas of Smithtown...some nicer than others, but not "bad"Chat Icon

Feel free to IM me anytime- I don't live there any longer, but did for about 20 years!Chat Icon

I agree!

For point of reference, it is the area close to the shopping center the Uncle Guiseppe's is in (hence, "Villiage of the Branch Shopping Center")

Basically right around Main Street...

If you have other questions, feel free to FM me. Both DH and I grew up in Smithtown for 20+ years. I know it quite well Chat Icon

Re: Smithown residents..

My sister lives there. It's a very nice neighborhood! I believe it's an incorporated village or something similiar because they have to uphold certain rules that I, as a resident of "regular" Smithtown, do not have to abide by.

Re: Smithown residents..

The area is known for flooding due to the proximity of the Nisseqogue River. I went with my friend last week to see a house there and she asked this question to the RE and he reported that all the houses in the area have problems with this.
