slow cooker

Has anyone's crock just suddenly cracked? not dropping or anyting, just cracked? I have always loved my Kitchen Aid slow cooker and I was washing it yesterday and there is a HUGE crack inside and out, I don't know how its even together. It was not like that night before when we washed it after using it. They "might" replace it for free, but I have heard that its an issue with this slow cooker. If they don't replace it, I won't buy a new ceramic crock, I am just gonna buy a new slow cooker. I am between the cuisinart and breville since they get the best rating... possibly the crock-pot brand. I want atleast a 6.5 quart.

Either way, which ones do you have? has it ever cracked?

Re: slow cooker

I've had mine for years and (thankfully) no issues. I don't have the kitchen-aid one though. I have the actual "crockpot"

Re: slow cooker

My all clad insert is cracked. Not bad - it is obviously still in one piece. But it has fine cracks on the bottom. Don't know why. This slow cooker was a wedding gift, but I know it was a pricey one and probably should not be doing that. my insert is ceramic.
