Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
I bundle DS up at night. He wears a long sleeved onsie, socks, cotton pjs ad a sleepsack. I used to even put I blanket on his feet but we had more then one scare (we keep our therm at 68-69 at night and his cheeks still get cold sometimes)
Anyway, I love the Carters Sleepsacks bc they have long sleeves and the other ones I have have no sleeves. Where else could I get sleepsacks with sleeves?????? He is growing out of the carters ones. TIA

Re: Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
I use sleep sacks with arms made by the people who make the SwaddleMe's, I think its Kiddopotamus (sp?) which was bought by Summer, Inc. I just bought 2 this week at Buy Buy Baby (i've never seen them at babies r us) bc my DS outgrew his other ones. The ones I bought have a fold-over sleeve which I'm loving bc DS' hands are always cold.

It is much better for them to be cooler, then for them to overheat. That sounds like a lot of clothing to me.

Me too! but he never feels really warm. If anything his cheeks still get cool. I also have the cool mist humidifier going at night and this tends to put a chill in the air

Why don't you put him in blanket sleepers? Children's place makes great ones -- my DD loves them and so do I!

ITA...way too much clothes! Their hands and feet and nose are always cooler than the rest of them according to my ped. DS just sleeps in a Carter's sac, 0-9months is the only size I have seen, or feeties that are knit. He would prob be fine with all of that, and the sleeveless ones, no?

Re: Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
okay, I just looked up blaket sleeper and I have these. The problem is, when his legs touch that fleecy material he tends to get sweaty. I always have the light cotton touching his body and then the thin carters sleep sack over it and it works out to be perfect. I guess I was just looking for other options besides the carters ones since he is getting so big. I will try bbb this week

Re: Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
I bought the ones from BBB by Summer and they are the same length as the Carters one. IDK why they say 0-9 months. I cannot imagine it being long enough for a 9 month old.
BTW I put the same thing on DD as you put on your DS. Every child is different I personally do not think it is way too much clothing. She has never woke up sweating.

I was beginning to think I was the only one! and you are so right, every child is different bc he never seems too hot or off course I wouldn't keep everything on him

Re: Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
What I would do if I were you, if you think he's always cold is - put everything on him that you normally do (Long sleeve onesie, long pajamas) and get the Halo Sleepsack. They have fleece ones so he will def. be warm enough. His arms already have two layers on them. The Halo sleepsacks come in big sizes so you will use them for a long time. They are great.
ETA: If you think he will still be cold then put fleece pjs on him instead of cotton.
I personally can't even put Tyler in any fleece at all, he gets so hot - so that would be a good substitute for the no arms I guess.

Re: Sleepsack Question (who makes long sleeved ones besides carters)..
My house is really cold and I bundle my DS up. He wears a long-sleeved onesie, fleece PJ's w/feet, and he wears a long-sleeve sleep sack. He never wakes up sweaty. We keep his room at about 67 (he has a heater, the rest of the house is an ice-block).
