sleeping in RnP?
I may have to start putting DS in RnP to sleep at night. My concern is when he turns his head to the side his face is pressed up against the plush fabric. I'm afraid he won't be able to breath. Does anyone else Have this concern ?

DS moves around a little in the RnP but i have never noticed this so it hasn't been a concern for me.

The twins sleep in the rnp every night. I've never noticed this either.

sleeping in RnP?
I didn't use the RNP for sleeping because my DD squirmed around a lot as a newborn and could slump over in it. I was worried about her breathing- not just because of the fabric, but also that her airway would be compressed because of her position.

Re: sleeping in RnP?
Yep - I originally had the little lamb one, and I was really worried about the "ears". I showed a photo to my pediatrician of dd sleeping in the rnp (my doctor is a big fan of the rnp), and immediately she told me to ditch that one and get the plain one, with no extra fabric. It made a huge difference. I brought the other one to my moms, and we used it as a lounger when we were all around and dd was just hanging out.

This is what I was thinking, guessing you have one of the more deluxe plush versions. If you're concerned, you can get one of the original style ones without any inserts. The sides actually have breathable fabric.

Yes. ITs the plush puppy one. Maybe I can take that part off.

You can try, but I know on mine it was not removable. My dd is nearly 2 though, so the models may be made differently! The basic version is only about $40 and if you get a coupon , it's good money spent, IMO, especially if it's for safety and you will be using it a lot.

Re: sleeping in RnP?
I had DS sleeping for his first few months in the bunny RNP. He never had a problem with his breathing but I must say his head became very flattened in the back. It still kind of looks misshapen at 2 yrs old. I don't know if it's because of the RNP but just thought I'd mention it.
