Sleep Help Please!! 19 months
Hi everyone,
My DD used to be an amazing sleeper... 8pm we would say its bedtime, she would get her paci and walk right upstairs, lay down and put herself to sleep... Same with naps as long as she was tired...
Fast forward to last week... Now she fights it. She will not let us put her in the crib. Screams bloody murder when she is in there.. Latches to us when its time to go down. We pushed back her bedtime thinking maybe she wasnt tired... waited until she was really tired...
DH and I are both teachers... Could it be because we are both home now?? Do you think she would do better in a toddler bed?? Its crazy bc she did a complete 180 in one night.
I want my good sleeper back... lol.
TIA

Sleep Help Please!! 19 months
We went through the same thing with our son a few months ago. He was always great about going to bed. Then suddenly he would cry and beg us to stay in the room. We ended up switching him to a toddler bed and it was like night and day! He goes to bed with no issue whatsoever now!

Re: Sleep Help Please!! 19 months
Same thing started with my 18m dd last week. We switched to a toddler bed last night. She did great until 4am when she woke up, got out of bed and ran to her door crying. She would not lay back down unless I sat next to her on her floor. Then she fought to stay awake and at 5am I gave up and brought her in bed with me. We will try again tonight. I am also a teacher so figured I might as well give the toddler bed a go while I am off for the summer :)

Re: Sleep Help Please!! 19 months
We went through this as well around that time. IMO it was more of a seperation thing and we had to do CIO for 1 night (was only about 15 mins) and then he never did it again.
He is 21 months and still in a crib as well. For us it was just about a week phase and once we let him CIO that night on his own for that 15 min's, he stopped the entire routine and was back to going to sleep with no problem.

Ds went through this a tthat age too. Took 1-2 months to finally get back to normal. I would have to let him fall asleep on me and then put him in his crib Hang in there!
