sketchy massage foot spa - who to call?
Who do you call to report suspicions about a sketchy "foot spa?" It's in Town of Hempstead. Do you call the Town? Kate Murray? Buildings Dept? Local precinct? Something always seemed off, and with a very little bit of Googling I appear to have confirmed my suspicions. I have printouts that would give anyone reason to go and investigate further... How do I get the ball rolling? Thanks!

I'd probably call all of them. Maybe get your neighbors to call too if you are really concerned.

I work with bldg dept. they won't do anything unless bldg is falling down. I also work with dept of health, they will react. They could help you But you are not stating issue at hand , but I would go to Board of health.

id think kate murray... theyd at least be able to direct you if not them,,, may deal with licensing.

Yeah I think it's impossible to say unless you spell out what your suspicions are. If its illegal, call the cops. If it's a health issue, call dept of health I suppose.

There should be a "report illegal massage practice" section if you do a search, or you can just call their #.

I am guessing you mean sketchy as in "I love you long time!" I have seen many of these sketchy places out in suffolk too. One has been closed down and busted for prostitution 5 times but they are still open!!

These are all over the place, not sure anything can really be done. Blame the "customers"keeping these places in biz

I just saw on FB one of my friends who lives in Garden City just found out O Spa got busted today as a happy ending place. Apparently a lot of those places got busted today in Nassau.

Here is another one!! This time in Patchogue!
Three women were arrested in Patchogue Thursday and charged with illegal activities at an illegitimate massage parlor, Suffolk police said.
Ashley Jimenez, 26, of Ridge, and Dawn Collins, 23, of Central Islip, were both charged with unlicensed practice of the massage therapist profession, and with prostitution. Justine Rittman, 26, of St. James, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Fifth Precinct officers conducted an undercover investigation at the massage parlor, in a second-floor apartment at 305A West Roe Blvd., in Patchogue, and made the arrests shortly after 4 p.m., police said.
