SJP Names the Twins.
A publicist for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick says a woman carrying twins for the couple has given birth to healthy girls.
Publicist Simon Halls says the girls were born Monday afternoon at an Ohio hospital. He would not specify the hospital or city.
Halls says that Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces, and that Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds.
Parker, the 44-year-old star of the TV show and film "Sex and the City," and Broderick, her 47-year-old husband and fellow actor, had confirmed they were expecting twin daughters by a surrogate.
They were unable to conceive since Parker gave birth to a son who is now 6.

Tabitha is a cute name. Marion, eh, that one I don't love.

I have a Great Aunt Loretta and a Great Aunt Marion, but these are definitely not my taste in names.
I am sure they are beautiful girls though!

One of my grandmother's names was Marion. She had a lot of names too... lol.
At least they're girls names and not fruit!

I like the names. I went to school with a Marion - she was so nice.
The Daily News reported that Hodge and Elwell are family names.

Not loving the names, but happy for the new parents!
I can't get past the fact that a professional writer / journalist wrote this sentence, though:
They were unable to conceive since Parker gave birth to a son who is now 6.

I said it on the other thread but I hate when one twin gets more names than the other!!(I can't remember what other celeb did this recently - just seems like a reason to feel like the "less loved" one for the rest of your life).

Actually I've held a grudge all my life that my brother has a middle name and I don't (not that we are twins)!!!

Yeah, love that they kept up with using family names but I'm not digging them.
Marion can be good but when you use it with Loretta... Who uses Loretta anymore? Tabitha is fun but for a cat.

My grandmother's name was Marion also. As was Mrs. Cunningham. 
I think I like the idea of using family names instead of going for ultra trendy, or ultra common. At least there is a nice reason behind it, to honor a family member. Instead of just to sound "cool".
