Six months today since we lost Rogan...
I can;t imagine the pain of your loss. Though I can relate to the feeling when I lost my wife of 30 years several months ago after a long battle with cancer. I not only miss her myself, but the I see the pain in my two daughters, both in their twenties, who were so close to her. I know my late mother in law, used to talk of "Barbara June", her daughter who died on the operating table at age 5 of a heart defect that could be easily corrected today. She did have 6 other children (3 at the time), so perhaps the loss was ameliorated or deflected by having those other children. Still, Barbara June became immortalized to all of us. In a quirk of fate, my Dad didn't have a burial plot when he died at 80, 15 years ago, so my mother in law gave him one - right next to Barbara June. It brings me comfort that my father, who was strong and loving man, is now resting right next to Barbara June. Of course, there is no easy answers to mourning. Losing a child is worse than losing a child, but I am still in a state of depression. So i have no good advice, other than the love i feel for a stranger who has to endure the unendurable.
