Sitting up unassisted- when?

I hate to compare but my boys are def set back, I know it.

I know twins can be a little delayed and Ant has tort w/plagio so he has a reason for some delays.

They sit up but not unassisted and wont even attempt crawling yet. they roll to get where they want.

They are 8mths old now.

Trying to remember- I THINK she sat up unassisted sometime around when she turned 6 months.
She started crawling right before she turned 8 months.

I'm a bad mommy- I really need to write these miletones down!

Tripod around 5 months, around 6 months unassisted

I wouldn't worry about it yet - they're beautiful, happy boys and they'll get there!

DD#1 was around 5 months
DD#2 was after 6 months

when DS got evaluated by EI for tort he was 7 months and not sitting unassisted. i wasnt until 8-9 months he was able to and that was after 1-2 months of PT.

DD#1 sat at 6 months unattended. She never crawled - she scooted on her butt.

DD#2 has been slower with her milestones. She did not sit up unattended until right before she turned 8 months old. Now at 10 months, she doesn't crawl either - she rolls everywhere! It may have something to do with her 97th percentile noggin She literally rolled into the laundry room the other day and closed the door! I went into the den and was like *** is she??

She just started getting into a seated position from laying down last week.

5-6 months unassisted. prob 7 months when I stopped putting something behind her incase she fell back

I wouldn't worry about it Deb. Your boys are chunka's like mine. Ryan is 7 months today and *just* sat unassisted for like 10 mins before he toppled over last night. PED says sometimes these BIG babies take longer to do things because they need to be stronger. He didn't roll over until last month either. Poor kid took forever to learn how to hoist himself over

Jack was just as big and I feel like he followed the same timeline. Although he crawled for like a week before jumping right into cruising

DS didn't sit up unassisted until over 10 months. He didn't get up into the sitting position until a year. Crawling? Oh, 13 months. Same with pulling up and cruising and self feeding and the pincer grip.

I'm beginning to think he wants to do it on his own schedule because, eff everybody and when they think he should do it.

At least, that's my though today

Luke is there now - he *just* started to sit up and crawl within the last couple of weeks.

Elizabeth didn't do either for a while.. I don't think she sat on her own until about 9 or 10 months.. I mean getting into a seated position, she could sit if I put her that way at 6 months. She didn't crawl until 11 months. She rolled everywhere and was so good at it I thought she'd never stop.

They're fine!! They're going to be fine!! And in a year or so when they're running through the house at break-neck speed knocking everything over and chasing G, you'll look back at this post and think "what the heck was I worried about!!"

I think both of my kids were around 8 months, Grace might have been closer to 9.

Crawling- Lance was crawling by 9 months, walking by 10. Grace again was a little later.... I want to say 10/11 months, she was walking around 13 months.

Lance was WAY more advance physically even though they hit their milestones around the same time. It just depends on the child.

started at 4.5 months and unassisted right before 5 months but then he didn't do anything till 8-9 months and now 10.5 months is crawling all over and pulling himself up.. In due time.. and when one thing happens it will all take off from then

Nick didn't crawl until he was 10 months. I blame it on his giant head.
As far as sitting unassisted, I think that was 6/7 months.


Their giant cutie cheeks are probably weighing them down

They are happy healthy boys, I'm sure they are fine.
What does the Ped say?

My first DS was sitting up by 4-5 months. This DS didn't sit up until after he was 8 months. He just turned 1 and doesn't walk yet, but he's cruising and getting there. My first DS was running at this point. They're all different.

Don't worry chica....JJ was right around 7.5 months (I just looked back at pictures) JJ didn't start crawling until 10.5 months (2 days after Nicholas was born) but rolled everywhere from about 4 months on.

Nicholas can sit tripod since about 6.5 months & just started to sit unassisted for many 2-3 minutes & then he topples over. Sometimes when he is sitting unassisted, he is leaning so far forward, it looks like he is on his belly. Nicholas just learned to roll last month & now rolls all over the place. He did a belly crawl once or twice but never again.

My Ped told me that with Nicholas being so big, it will take him longer to do things bc he has more weight to support. I think your boys are right there with him

DD will be 7 months on the 12th and still cannot sit unassisted.

She is close. She can do it for maybe a minute, but will topple over.

She is nowhere near trying to crawl yet.

My DS sat unassisted right when he turned 6 months and crawled at 8 or 9 months.

Mine were around 8 months. I felt like it took forever for them to do this. Don't worry
