SitterCity or Care.com
Anyone ever use either of these sites? I need afterschool care for a few hours and have had no luck looking on my own.
Just wondering if it is worth the $ to sign up.

I pick up three kids after school, take them home, and do homework with them for 3 hours. Yes, it takes 8 yr olds 3 hours to do homework, they go to a competitive private school. Their mom found me on care.com where I posted my resume. She was specifically looking for a sitter with an education background. You can sift through resumes and find someone that meets the needs that you have.
Through the site, she was also able to do a background check on me. I like that option because as a mother myself I totally understand the stress of hiring a stranger.

I was a caregiver on there when I was on maternity leave. I had the background check done and everything which was just a bunch of questions online and then they checked into it further supposedly. If you cant find anyone through family and friends you might be able to find someone that way. Good luck!
