We have a small simple human (step on kind) in the bathroom with a pull out bin. We don't buy the bags and I did not even realize there were special bags for it until I saw this post  It was on our registry but w/o the bags. 
I like it but if I had to buy special bags for it (which I guess are more expensive than normal bags) I probably would vote that it's not worth the added expense for the "cool" look factor that you can find in other brands.

We have one...DH wanted it so ILs bought it for us for Christmas..I am neutral about it...he loves it
