Simon Mall SAYS...................
This is for Smithhaven and Roosevelt field Malls--
NON-SERVICE DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MALL!!!
SO ONCE AGAIN SOMEONE IS WRONG!
YOU CANNOT BRING YOUR DOG INTO THESE MALLS!!!

It makes sence if you think about it... not only do some malls serve food, but c'mon, I don't want dog fur all over the new clothes I'm about to buy!

They need to put up some more signs and/or enforce that rule better.. otherwise people will have no idea!

Westfield Malls also says (and this covers Bayshore (South Shore Mall) and Sunrise Mall)
Non- Service dogs are NOT allowed in the mall!!!!

Exactly. Unless it's a pet store or there's a sign that welcomes pets, dogs don't belong in stores. It's inappropriate and inconsiderate of others.
I honestly don't understand why people want to shop with their dogs.

What I don't understand is why would someone bring their dog to the mall in the first place?
Usually when one goes to the mall one knows that he/she will be there for an extended period of time. Why does the dog need to be with you? Why can't the dog be left at home? Why is it that some dog owners feel it is necessary to bring their dogs everywhere they go?

actually i wasn't there for an extended period of time. i went to the dog store to find a rain coat, then i had to get a shirt at macy's for my job. a total of half hour.

I do not bring my dogs anywhere but to go for walks and to the vet.. It's not that I am against dog owners bringing their animals anywhere, I am the first one to pet a dog, it's just a personal decision for me.
