Silly question...for those who registered at BBB & BRU...

Did you find that many people did not go to BBB? I have a lot of my big items on my registry at BBB & I am finding that not too many people are going there to shop. Did anyone else experience this?Chat Icon

I only registered at BRU, but that is b/c I live on Staten Island and I don't think there is a BBB near me. And my family is in Suffolk, so there isn't one close to them either.

I keep having people tell me that for baby's people don't really s hop off the registryChat Icon

Yes

BBB's registry page is not very user friendly for example you cant get a item description from the page. I did get a few complaints from people about thier site and how few store locations there are. People bought most things from my BRU registry.

There are things that are exclusive to each but for things they share BRU is often less $$ than BBB

I registered on both but the shower invites only listed BRU when we heard a bunch of people complain about BBB. Even though we never announced BBB - people did still get some things off the registry.

As a guest going to three baby showers in the next month, I have to say that I personally get frustrated with BBB as well. I was there on Saturday and almost all of the things I wanted to buy for the one person registered there were out of stock - I had to track someone down to find that out. It was really annoying for me. But - on the other hand - I find that they have better prices on many things...if you can find it.

I say put it on both. I know...could lead to duplicates but at the same time they have been on BBB for so long and no one took it. If you see them purchased on one you remove it from the other as soon as you can.

Re: Silly question...for those who registered at BBB & BRU...

I was worried about that too. We found that BBB had more of the larger items that we liked then BRU. At first, it seemed as if everyone was just going to BRU, but as it got closer to the shower date and the BRU registry dwindled stuff started disappearing from the BBB registry. I think we now have all of the items from BBB.

Re: Silly question...for those who registered at BBB & BRU...

YES!!! That's so funny you are having the same experience. I'm thinking it's one of two things-- BRU has a much more user-friendly website or BRU tends to be a little less expensive for the same exact products as BBB.

Re: Silly question...for those who registered at BBB & BRU...

Most people didnt go to BBB, they went to BRU, even the ones who didnt go to BBB, bought stuff that had already been purchased off the BBB registry, so I had a lot of exchanging to do

Re: Silly question...for those who registered at BBB & BRU...

Same here, I gave both as options but in reality, BRU carries most of what BBB has, sometimes cheaper and BRU offers coupons, which help.
