Guests complaining that I registered in BBB and BRU

I am not sure why, but people seem to be set in their ways and are complaining that we registered at BBB and BRU. A lot of stuff was bought off of the BRU registry and complaints have trickled down to me that people wish everything was at BRU because BBB is "too far"

Well, the high chair, stroller and car seat that I like are all at BBB as well as a bunch of other things. Why are people making it such a big deal? Huntington is not THAT far away. Most people live in Western Suffolk.

And besides, so much can be ordered online these days. Who needs to leave the house?

Whats the big deal, all they have to do is pick one store (BBB or BRU) and get stuff you want off your list, no biggie!

They can order on line, and can't you find anyone's registry at any BBB or BRU?

I think people like to complain. The same people complained about my bridal registries since we had a few places. They wanted it to be really convenient--like 5 miles away or less.

Go online and order! Almost everyone has a computer with Internet access.Chat Icon

Seriously, if BBB is closer to them go there...if BRU is closer then go there. What is the big deal for everyone! Thats ridiculous. I dont even think its like complaining its just alot of talk. After they "talk" they are going to have to pick a place anyhow.

I think what happened was that some smart shoppers got out and got the good stuff on BRU and now the other "nice" gifts are the ones on BBB. People are cranky and now I have my mom and BF telling me I should add more things to BRU.

People are such pains about this. Who complains about this type of stuff? I registered where I did, now they need to deal with it or not buy off the registry.

Your probably right. There are alot of people that want to buy "the big gifts" and now the leftover stuff people are saying "what should I buy". I actually added some extra stuff this week. Watch your registry and add more if you have to.

Too bad!! You snooze, you lose!! They should have shopped earlier and gotten the "good stuff" at BRU then! Chat Icon

Re: Guests complaining that I registered in BBB and BRU

i hate people who complain about other people's registrys. for my wedding people complained that i only registered at Fortunoffs, an now i guess they'll be complaining whether i do both BRU and BBB or just one. Some people are never happy.

They'd really hate me then because we had to register in THREE places -- BBB, BRU and Amazon. I hate complainers!Chat Icon

Re: Guests complaining that I registered in BBB and BRU

That's silly. There are BBB in both Westbury and Huntington. Plus, like you said, people can register online or even call the store if they want to order something but don't have access for whatever reason. I think the same people complain just to complain. I registered at BBB and Pottery Barn Kids. Most of my items are at BBB though. In both, I registered for items that range from $2.00 and up so there are a wide range of things to choose from. Don't let these people get to you. You didn't do anything wrong. I hope everything works out Chat Icon .

People just like to complain. Don;t take it personally. They did the same thing when I was getting married because I registered at 3 places. Both stores are available online if they are that lazy.

Don't take it personally... people love to complain. I think it's sort of a jealous thing.

What's funny is when their daughters are ready to register... they will think it is completely normal to register at as many places and it won't be a problem.Chat Icon

Re: Guests complaining that I registered in BBB and BRU

Oh yeah, I didn't even mention that I am registered at PBKids. Only my mom and a few others know. Basically it was done for my mom so she could buy us our bedding and some other stuff.

For my bridal registries, we had FOUR and that made people go crazy. We had Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Bed Bath and Beyond and FortunoffChat Icon

When I think of it, though, why do people complain when you are giving them more options???Chat Icon
