Silly question about sheets...
I feel like an idiot asking this, but I have no idea. What does the thread count indicate? Is a higher thread count supposed to be softer? Thicker?

no, that's not true..it's the number of horizontall and vertical threads in one square inch of fabric.
If you want soft sheets, choose a softer type of fabric.. I LOVE eqyptian cotton.. so soft!
