silly question about gyno appt

I will be TTC soon and just made my first appt with a new ob gyn

I made the appointment and told them it would be my first time there, but I didn't specify what I would be coming for.

Is it just assumed that I am coming in for an annual exam? (pap smear. .. )

When I switched to my current OB, I did it at the time I wanted to TTC and I was due for an exam/pap.

Now, remember that most insurance cies only allow a certain number of paps per year. I *think* it's 2 per year and you HAVE TO wait a certain time before you are eligible for another one.

So I did the transition when I was due.

She actually talked to me first in her office. I discussed TTC since we were planning in the following months after that visit. She told me about prenatals and she did an exam after that.

i made an appointment with my OB when we first started.

She told me point blank she knew nothing about infertility, so if we had issues, we'd have to seek someone else.

She also had like 80 questions for me regarding our histories and gave us the all clear to TTC...
