 | Silly Question Ok so who can enlighten me on what a midwife is?? It seems to be a popular choice and I don't really have a clue as to what they do compared to a doctor. TIA | | Posted 4/17/08 9:06 AM |

 | Re: Silly Question A midwife gives you one on one care. They are with you for the enitre prenatal visits, during your labor at the hospital and delivery. They can order all the same tests as a doc can and YES....you can get an epidural if you need it. A midwife also "respects" your wishes for your prenatal care and birth.
FM me if you would like some names of a midwives

 | Re: Silly Question A midwife will help you through your pregnancy and will deliver your baby (as long as there are no complications). However a midwife IS not a doctor, she can be a nurse or someone that is trained in midwifery. It is more of a holistic approach to pregnancy and childbirth. | | Posted 4/17/08 8:20 PM |
