Anyone's baby have to have this procedure? Just looking for experiences, if you felt it was necessary or not, or what happened next. Thanks.

My DS had one at around 4 months to confirm a milk protein allergy. The only reason why i did it was because he had a lot of constipation his first few month and the gastro felt it was necessary. It was super quick and he seemed fine. He ended up having nodules due to an allergic colitis.. And we switched to alllimentum. ...his colitis cleared once we removed milk protein from his diet.
I questioned doing it rather then just switching the formula. However I confirmed with my pediatrician that it was a good idea since he was having constipation since day one.
Hope this is helpful, good luck.
