SIGH
Today my bff announced she's 6 weeks on FB and DH took it hard  we haven't officially started TTC so his reaction really surprised me. He's been moping around all evening. I'm excited for her, but seeing DH like this is making me feel sad.
Guess I just needed to vent...thanks for reading
ETA My BFF poas weds n went to the ER to confirm right afterwards. Before she left the ER she posted a pic of her positive test on FB.
I wanted to tell her she might regret telling FB so soon, but I didn't want her to think I wasn't happy & excited for her.

just remind him nothing to get upset over if u have not even ttc yet..esp if going in you have no issues..this should be a happy and exciting time for you guys..trust me..i passed that months ago

absolutely, agree! it was the lead up to ttc that got us worried, from the moment you decide to have a child, you don't stop worrying.. haha it just begins..
and also 6 weeks is way to early to announce on FB.. hoping all the best for your friend.

Yes enjoy this time to the fullest! Once you start TTC people are going to get pregnant left and right, just know that you will too!!
and yes 6 weeks is super early IMO!

She announced it on FB being only 6 weeks? I would of probably waited till I was 12-16 weeks! But she must be excited and couldn't control it any longer!!
Seems like DH was in Envy! It will happen but he shouldn't make you feel sad at all! These things take time! But think positive hold on to faith! You day is coming!!!!

DH just told me he feels like my BFF & her DH are stealing our thunder BFF started dating her DH June 2010 and they married October 2010. We got engaged April 2009 and married June 2010. I told him marriage & babies are a blessings and it shouldn't matter if we (BFF& I) have significant life accomplishments around the same time. He understands but he thinks ppl will say were copy cats when we get PG bcuz it will be after them (especially since we haven't openly discussed our decision to start ttc) I guess its a male ego thing.
..I still can't believe his reaction.

Eh, don't worry about what other people think and say. There are always going to be people who have something to say no matter what you do. Just do what is best for you and enjoy starting ttc.

I would be excited for my friend. You're not even TTC yet, so technically there is no thunder to be stolen. Obviously your DH has baby fever, so that's a good thing.
I wouldn't announce on FB at 6 weeks but one has nothing to do with the other.
