Siding- How much?
We desperately need to side our house, which is a split. What style of home do you have? What type of siding did you get? How much did you pay?

We just did ours this summer. We also have a split.
The wall next to the front door where the living room is is stone as is the lower level (under the bedrooms).
We did the sides of the house, the upstairs area (by the bedrooms and the back). We also got 6 new windows, 2 sets of shutters, new soffits and new gutters, and a new front door.
We used the perfection siding in the front (looks like cedar) and regular wide siding on the back and sides.
I think we paid around $18,000 for all (but the contractor is a friend of DH).

I have a split as well. I used the normal straight siding pieces all over the house. My living room in the front has brick underneath the window, but the rest was sided.
I did shutters in the front and these fancy pieces over the front windows and garage and upgraderd my vents to fancier white capping pieces, soffits and all new gutters with gutter guards and it came out to I believe 13k or so.

Can you fm me who you used! I was quoted 30K for my house and garage from Home Depot. I nearly fell out of my chair. We do not have a big house. One story three bed ranch.

i have a split and i only have the top of my house to side as its mostly brick, as well as some part of the back of my house. I got a good deal from arrow home improvement in seaford, and they did a good job. Some other companies wanted a ridiculous amount of money for not a lot of siding. good luck!
