side effects from provera?
My doctor prescribed this to me. I'm taking it for 7 days starting tomorrow. What should I expect? I was told I'd get my period towards the end of taking it. TIA

It can take up to 2 weeks to get your AF. I got mine about 5 days after I stopped.

I got VERY cranky about 2 hours after taking them... so I started taking them right before bed.

Thanks for your responses. I was wondering though, did provera give you a long , heavy AF or what? I'd like to know what I'm in for!!!

I took Provera a few times to induce my AF because I wasn't getting it. I took it for 10-days and would usually get my AF within 3 days of stopping the pills... No real side effects at all.

They told me to expect the worst...but it wasnt that bad at all. For me, it just lasted a little longer than usual

Be careful. I just found out that a close friend was on it and got PG. And now the baby might have birth defects

Usually dr's will tell you to take a preggo test frst or have a blood test...
The risk of birth defects is if you take the provera and you are already pregnant

Right... my doctor told me to be sure I took a HPT before starting it.
