sick or teething?
DS is 1 week shy of 7months. He has been teething since 2 months. Today he has vomited twice 2:15pm and 7:30pm. He also had 2 diarrhea diapers around 3pm. He has a fever of 99.5.
I called the doctor (about 3:30pm) and she said just to watch him bc it could virus or it could be teething. He's been a little out of sorts, but overall still the smiling happy baby he usually is.
what do you think?

Re: sick or teething?
seriously no one replied?
wow. im kind of shocked since usually everyone is so helpful.
anyway. DS threw up a lot more last night and had another diarrhea diaper. I'm until noon to call the doctor to see if he gets sick again before then.

Re: sick or teething?
DS started teething at 3m, we've had every symptom in the book.
Our ped is vehemently apposed to the idea that teething alone causes symptoms, he thinks it probably more because they are putting things in their mouth and getting more than normal amounts of harmless bacteria. He told us to switch pro-biotics to Florastor. I don't know if it alone helped. We started solids around the same time. But his diarrhea subsided.
Like your ped said, it could just be teething related, or it can be more serious illness developing.
Sorry can't be of more help
