Sick or teething?
DD has had a runny nose for the past two days. Yesterday her temperature went up to 100.6 (not a REAL temperature) and this morning, it was normal. Today, I took her out for a bit and came home and put her down for her nap. Well, she woke up within 15 minutes HYSTERICAL and I had to rock her to sleep and she napped on me for over an hour (I really enjoyed it!). She NEVER has a problem putting herself to sleep. Just put her to bed and her temp is 101.3. I'm assuming it's more than teething since her temp is higher. Would you call the ped in the morning if it's still high (even after giving her motrin) to check for an ear infection? This is the first time she's REALLY sick (she's 13 1/2 months).

Re: Sick or teething?
DD has been sick on and off AND teething for the last month... its been craziness in my house. It sounds like she could have an ear infection so i might call if i were you. I had attributed alot of DD's whiney-ness to teething and it wound up she did have an ear infection. I ended up feeling really guilty that she may have had it for a little while and I had just attributed it to teething, I'll never really know when she actually got it. Hope she feels better

could be an ear infection.
I do notice though that even though my DD does not get a fever, whenever she is teething, her ear seems to bother her.

I'm thinking it might be an ear infection - will probably take her to the doctor an play it safe.
However, she's not pulling on her ears at all.
