When I was pg with Jay, the doctor told me regular strength sudafed and tylenol cold were OK.

I feel your pain... to be honest... I had a feeling I was PG again b/c I had a familiar chronic congestion - LOL
What eases my coughing, temporarily, is hot decaf tea with actual honey and actual squeezed lemon - not just honey lemon flavored herbal tea.
It actually has a soothing almost anit-histamine affect. Could just be me. I find it soothing for that "tickle" in the throat too. That and you can use a saline nasal spray to ease congestion which at least should prevent the cough from worsening. Coughs are tough when PG, the good stuff is off limits - LOL.

My doctor ok'd me taking Sudafed and Robitussin Chest. Check with the pharmacist to see which cough medicine is the right one.

I have had a horrible cough and congestion for the last 5 days... called and was told the folowing were ok:
Tylenol (reg-up to 500 mg)
Robitussin DM
Sudafed (plain old - NOT PE)
However when I took the Robitussin it made me feel a whole lot worse... I've been drinking lots of water and tea and using a vaporizer at night.
It suck$ but it seems to be getting better.

I'm in the same boat sick as a dog for 5 days straight. alot of hot liquids. Net pot, steam, saline, going to go out today and get sudafed can't take this anymore!! I already went through a box a tissue and it's not even noon yet. My nose is so red
