Sick kid question
Ds was sick all last week. Had a fever last Monday, followed by vomiting and complaining of a sore throat. I took him to the ped the day of the fever and strep test was negative. He also had very bad breath. He was pretty much on the couch from Monday until Friday, not keeping much down, but fever was gone by Wednesday. He was back to normal by last Saturday except for a lingering cough and a bit of boogey nose (sorry gross, I know). He has had the cough/slightly runny nose all week and then this afternoon he started vomiting again! He hasn't kept anything down and is saying his throat hurts and feels Nauseas. He again has very foul smelling breath. He's thrown up a good six times since about 4 o'clock now. No fever as of yet. Im thinking of bringing him to an urgent care place now.
Any insight? Help?!

Re: Sick kid question
I know it's late in the season for this, but did they test for flu? Those were the symptoms when my DC had the flu. They were nauseous, vomiting, fever, lethargic for days. Is he willing to let you look in his mouth so you can see if it's red?

No insight but I would take him back to the ped. Hope he feels better soon.

Sick kid question
My five year old had all of the same symptoms, but mainly very BAD breath. Turns out he had mono and ped knew right away from the smell of his breath. Hope he feels better soon!
