Sick 3 month old
FTm with a sick baby...is there anything I can do? Dd was coughing during the night and is super congested today. Thankfully no fever but she's not her happy self and her past two feedings she barely ate Is there anything I can do for her? I tried to aspirated her but there's nothing in her nose it all must be in her chest

Saline. Ds 3 got sick at 2 months from his brothers and he was so congested he was puking and gagging. I just used saline in his nose and we were also prescribed saline for our nebulizer. I didn't worry about him not eating and let the cold run its course. Just keep and eye for a fever and feel better

not much you could do. DD had this and we just had to wait it out. Use the nose sucker and saline as much as you can.

Definitely saline and a vaporizer. We took DD to the ER a month or so ago because she was so congested and had a terrible cough. The ER doc said that we should be putting saline & sucking out her boogies 4x an hour. And we have the Vick's vaporizer which helps a lot. Hope she feels better!!

Def recommend a nebulizer with saline drops. My dd had a very bad chest cold and thi is what the peds recommended. Plus she had a rx but if it doesnt get better I would DEF call your peds. My dd got worse and had to bring her to peds and then was put on rx. Also if you have the blue aspirator that thing doesnt work. Try the naso vac. It attaches to your vaccum and it is INSANE how much crap it pull out of my dd nose when she was sick. NOTHING would have gotten that out but the naso vac.

If she's not eating I would definitely call the doctor, they can get dehydrated easily when they're so small. I've had a sick newborn myself, it's no fun at all. I hope baby's feeling better soon!

This happened to me my dr said to put her in a steamed bathroom. So I used to put her is her chair while I took a hot shower. It helped for a little while. I also used a cold vapor humidifier at night when she slept and during the day when she slept. However u need to keep her hydrated. So u should def call ur dr to let them now that ur dc is not drinking. HTH!!
