shower planning vent

So a few months ago I was with all my best friends from college and they were like when are you going to have your shower because we'd love to be there and we all sat down and figured out the date that would work best for everyone to come and it was a little later than I would have liked to have my shower (I'll be 33w) but everyone lives all over the place and if this one weekend would work best for them to travel and be there and for us to have a nice weekend together then that would be the date.

I sent out a save the date, etc...

Invites are now going out...

NOW my friends are telling me that its looking like only 1 of them can make it...they thought my save the date was tentative...

oh sorry to hear that. . it's hard to get disappointed like that. . I had six people cancel within a day of my shower and was really bummed but you will enjoy it no matter what. . try to remember that. . I think it def can become this thing that is more emotional than it needs to be - and just remember it's NOT a reflection on you, people can just be flaky or have other committments or get sick etc. .

and I am SO not saying you should not be upset - I would be too but just try to enjoy what does happen!

oh and I had my shower at 36 weeks and it was fine so 33 seems totally reasonable!
