baby shower vent...

ok a few of you may have seen a comment or two where i vented about my shower but i've so had it at this point.
here's the deal - i know i'm having one because my mom told me I was, I don't know any details at all except it is supposed to be before the baby comes. Now technically i'm due between 3/8 and 3/16 which is in about 6 weeks. I am currently 33 weeks along, and there is no sign at all of the shower. When I peek at my registry which I started doing because i'm so like um ok am I actually having a shower not one item so far has been bought. So now i'm kind of like am I having one??? My mom still says I am but with nothing even coming up as far as parties that it might be and me getting more and more uncomfortable by the day I was hoping to have it before I feel way to miserable to enjoy it and with enough time to organze everything before the baby gets here..
The only thing I can come up with is maybe its like the week before i'm due in which case i'm going to be miserable .... grrrr sorry just frustrated and needed to vent

Sorry. I hope it's soon and people are just waiting till the last minute.

My baby shower was this past weekend and very little went off the registry until the week before and most of my bigger items were only bought a day or two before the shower. Maybe its coming up soon and people just haven't shopped yet? Try not to worry too much!

I'm in the same boat, except I know my shower is when I'm 36 weeks. It drives me crazy b/c I wanted to help plan it, but my mom refused my help. She wouldn't even tell me the date, but I wrangled it out of my BF. I know that they couldn't plan in sooner probably b/c of conflicting schedules - which was why I wanted to start planning it in Late November.

In the end, I'm sure it will be fine - we'll both have terrific showers and even if it seems too late (or is too late) we'll be fine. Remember, the timing might not be perfect, but they are throwing us a party...

well that makes me feel a little better that at least i'm not the only one with really really late showers.. problem is i'm already having complications and I really don't think i'm gonna make it to my due date so i'll be happy just to be at my shower at this point

I wouldn't worry to much about it. I'm 32 weeks and know i'm having a shower but haven't had it yet either. Hang in there...you'll have one.

Maybe you can let your mom know that it's stressing you out and you would really just prefer to know the date.
I don't get the surprise thing for a 34 week+ pregnant woman.
