Shower Outfit - Need your help!
I have a hunch that my shower is next Saturday, May 7. I am not supposed to know anything about it but I have my reasons for thinking this date.
Anyway, I am looking for outfit suggestions. Something that is nice and well put together but not something too dressy (ie a dress) that would make my mom and the guests feel I knew about it. As of now I don't know what the reason for getting me out is going to be. My bridal shower was at a restaurant so it's pretty safe to say this one will be too.
Also, I am very petite (5'3, 110 pre-pg wt.) As of 28 week appointment I am only up 13 pounds and all in the belly. I have a belly but not as big as I was hoping to have for my shower. So any tops that would flatter my bump and perhaps make it look bigger without making me look plain fat would be good.
So for those of you who love fashion, please tell me what you'd suggest! A pic would be great if possible or just a really good description.
I am OOS. We have Motherhood Maternity, Kohls, Target, Macy's, JCP with maternity depts. If you suggest another store I will try to find a location nearby. As for prices, just be realistic
TIA ladies!

Do you think you could get away with wearing a semi casual cotton dress? What do you typically wear during the week or weekends. I feel like since the weather is finally nicer a lot of people are breaking out the spring sun dresses just for fun. I bought a whole bunch in anticipation of the nice weather bc they r so much more comfortable than pants at this point. So maybe if you were to wear something like that it wouldn't be as obvious. Try to find one that ties or belts right below your bust. That accentuates the belly. Sorry I can't post any pics for ideas. Im on a road trip with DH and am typing from the car.
BTW- my shower is May 7th too. I know about it tho. Praying for nice weather for us
Eta. Try taking a look online at Ann Taylor Loft. They have some simple dresses. I bought some for work. They can be made more interesting with a nice scarf or necklace. You may have to rush shipping tho.

how about a pair of skinny pants, a fitted t and a blazer or cardigan. That was my go-to outfit until recently where I have become enormous!

Re: Shower Outfit - Need your help!
Thanks for the replies.
I'm not the type to wear a dress just for fun unless I know about a special occasion. Besides, I read a post on here about girls who wore dresses at their shower and later regretted it.
I am thinking dressy jeans or maybe I'll go get a pair of casual dress pants. I'll look around for a dressy top and I plan to wear heels or wedges.
I'm sure I'll figure it out... Thanks.

I'd wear nice jeans and a cute top. You will be more comfortable, and not give it away, but still look good for pics. My showers (they are multiple b/c of location of family) won't be a surprise, but I still probably won't wear a dress b/c of awkward present opening shots, LOL.
