SHOW ME YOUR RECENT PET PURCHASES!!!
So there is one of these on the Fashion board and one on the home board, so I thought it would be great if we had one here. Post any new pet purchases you have made - toys, beds, food bowls, treats, new food, collars, leashes, litter, anything and let us know what you thought of it (and more importantly what our Furbaby thought of it!).
I figure since it is near the holidays there should be tons of furbaby present purchases. Also I am always wondering what toys / treats other doggies like, so I can try them for my Teemu, but also what durable toys last the test of time with tough chewers like my little guy!

You just knew I was going to respond to this. 
Caddis Beasley's couch dog bed in Sage Poly-Suede from netshops.com
DH wasn't convinced that spending this much on a dog bed was a good idea. He thought he would rip it up like he did his last dog bed. I thought if we kept it outside of his crate, we would have a better chance.
Well. He LOVES it. No chewing. We made a good choice with the bolsters on the sides - he really likes to push his back against things when he lays down. Hopefully we'll have this bed (intact) for a long time.

I really like this -- I'm desperately searching a good bolster bed for my dog...he likes to put his back on something and his mouth on the sides.... super expensive?

There is hope... A lot of people say Costco has these types of beds inexpensively. You may not have as many choices of color/fabric though.
The netshops.com bed was $80 for the large. Less expensive for different fabrics or smaller sizes but nothing below $60.

No blushing in this thread. Now that I actually have a dog in our family, spending that much money doesn't phase me. We spend thousands on our own beds, right? Our dog's lives are a fraction of ours and if it's a good bed, maybe you keep it for 1/4 of their lives. That's not too much to spend for that kind of comfort. To me.
Besides, in our case, we will never have children. If we are spending money on the ones we love, and can afford it, that's our business. 
These are the presents we're hiding from Brinkley for his birthday in a week and Christmas:
Tuffies octopus
Children's basketball
Rope ball chew
I'm going to PetSmart tonight because I have a coupon so I'm sure I'll have more to post tomorrow.

Humpback Dog Couch in Brown - this hasn't shown up yet, but I really really hope Teemu loves it (and doesn't chew it into a billion pieces). He doesn't chew on our couch, so I am hoping he sees this as his little couch!
Wrought Iron Stand
Tuffies Mega Ring - Tuff Scale 10 is the only toy Teemu has not chewed into oblivion that has any kind of softness to it (which of course he loves)

I bought Snuggle Safe for Pumpkin's kennel during the day. She likes it, I have it under her blankets and the warmth comes through and keeps her cozy. I felt the blanket when I came home first few days and its still warm 8 hours later

I got Viva a pink raincoat for rainy days My dog is black with some white, so I think the pink will be cute on her!
We also got her a few holiday plush toys from Petco (she prefers plush toys).

I had a 15% off coupon from Petsmart that I got from a friend and it was my first time there. I figured I'd get a couple of bags of dog food. But guess what? They don't sell Natural Balance. 
So I used the coupon for these:
After seeing Cesar Milan use a backpack with water bottles in the side to train a working dog how to walk better on leash and give it a "job" to do, I started looking for one. I found a really nice one last night with zippered pockets, outside mesh pockets, padding underneath and on the shoulder sections, a handle on the top and a D-ring to clasp the leash onto.
As it turns out, while I was looking for a picture of it just now, I found one of Cesar - this is the same model that they used on the show:

I can't wait to use it!

I think the octopus is an 8, it may be a 7. It lasted a few weeks, because he could only destroy one tentacle at a time, so it took him a while to get through all 8. He is a little toy destroying engineer though. he sits there and slowly starts chewing on the black seaming until he can get the stuffing/squeaker out. 
I am afraid the couch will be hugmungous. We will see when I get it. Teemu likes to stretch, so he needs a big one. I got the L, but the XL seriously looks like a little couch. One customer posted a pic of it next to her couch and I could easily fit on the dog couch
