Should I fill the script?
2 weeks ago I went to the Dr because I didnt feel good...
She didnt "really" check me- but gave me a script for a Z-pack and said if it didnt go away in a couple of days to fill the script-
Well I pretty much- never intended to fill it since- Im SOOOO paranoid about being on antibiotics while on BCP- so I usually just try and let me body fight it out...
Now my DS has strep- and the past few days my throats been bothering me- and I feeling kinda cr@ppy-
Not sure if its stress- or Im getting what DS has...
DS b-day party is Sat. and I CANT be sick for it-
Should I just fill the script from last week- I mean- how bad would it be if- I just have a cold mixed with a little stress- and thats why Im feeling crummy???
I mean- my Dr didnt diagnose me w/ anything the first time- and was willing to have me take it..???
I dont have time to make another apt.- So Im not sure what I should do?

I can only speak from personal experience in a similar situation, and I finally filled the script for the Z-Pak and I started feeling better within a few days.

it's a pack of antibiotics where you only have to take it for a few days but it continues working after that for like the full week or whatever it is.

I'm not sure if it would work for strep tho. I would call your dr and see what she says. You may want to go for a throat culture if DH has strep.

I would fill it and keep it in the house. I was just on it 2 weeks ago. The changeof weather is making alot of people sick

My doctor gave me the Z-Pack for strep and it worked like a dream. He gave me something else first that didn't kill it. I'd fill it!

Marissa, I would def. fill it. If you aren't sick you could easily get sick from running around, your immune system can easily get run down. Enjoy Ry's party!

Personally, I would not fill it. I would keep washing your hands, don't touch your eyes too much and drink lots of fluids and get some rest.
I think some docs are very free with the antibiotics and most colds are due to a virus. Antibiotics won't kill a virus.
Did your DH get diagnosed for strep and is he on something?
