Should I be trying this month?

It just occurred to me today b/c I just got my smiley on CD15, which means I'll probably ovulate tomorrow.

I have an endometrial biopsy scheduled on Feb 4, so CD 25 or approx 9dpo. If we try this month and get pregnant, I'll only be about 8dpo when I go in for the bloodwork on the 3rd, which I assume is to make sure I'm not pregnant before the test. Would a blood test even show I'm pregnant at that point?

Or should I just not try this month since I tend to have a short LP and will probably run into this any month I have the test scheduled?

Or am I just overthinking the whole darn thing?

I'm surprised your RE didn't give you explicit instructions not to have unprotected relations this cycle. HPT's show up that early. And the odds are probably that is wont just happen. Good luck.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was no unprotected sex from CD1 until the test because they don't want to risk pregnancy. May not show up on blood or hpt. To be sure, I would call your RE just to clarify.

Thanks girls. My doctor didn't say anything. Guess I'll put in a call tomorrow.

Like the others have said, I'm surprised you weren't given instructions! I was always put on bcp AND told to use condoms!! (I took the pill .. but we ditched the condoms ) I was like ummm yeah I don't ovulate on a GOOD day .. and I'm gonna ovulate now through the pill? Call it stupid or what but we took our chances with just using the pill and it was fine.. umm don't do what I did though, just in case!
