Should I be concerned? Update Below

Right when my last period was due, around 30 days (my average cycle is 35, but it has gone up to 42 days). I spotted. It was never a real period, only spotting but lasted about 5 days.

Now I am at CD17 and I am spotting. My O according to FF is supposed to be around CD21. (oops I wrote day 29 because its the 29th).

Should I be concerned? This is all new to me, but I have never spotted before except just before AF.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

Re: Should I be concerned?

Also I have some cramping now, but didn't have a lot of cramping (minimal) when I was spotting for a week.

Re: Should I be concerned?

ok..first have u taken a hpt?

second..if u only spotted but never had a actual period i owuld not go by what ff says bc u r still in ur cycle

if that was your period and u r on cd 17..i would def use a opk bc it sounds like u might be ovulating with the cramping and even the spotting

have you ever had your progesterone checked?

also if u ovulate cd 29 and then get af on cd 35 that is a lp defect..hopefully she comes later than that,at least 10 days or better yet not at allChat Icon

Re: Should I be concerned?

OK this is definitely AF. No denying it! Have all the symptoms. But here is the thing, that makes my cycle 52 days long? The longest its ever been was 40 and it is usually around 35.

How do they check your progesterone? I was supposed to do a blood test on day 3 of my cycle. But my period was strange so I never did it and now I am away until Monday. So guess its going to have to wait another cycle (hopefully a normal one.)

I did a HPT during the spotting cycle, it was negative. I didn't do one again because I came here.

Re: Should I be concerned? Update Below

i woul def just **** this as cd 1..and start fresh from here..try to go in for cd 3 blood work next month

i have had cycle weer ei just got af 2 weeks late or whatever..i would just chalk it up to a strange cycle, not so strange if u r coiong off the pill

progesterone is check through blood work

when u go in for cd 3 testing i would tell them about the spotting and i would also mark when in ur cycel u get it and see if u get it again next month

Re: Should I be concerned? Update Below

Thanks Gina409, your a ton of help.

I've been off the pill since April 2009, because it was making me sick and I said forget it, I'm done. But we just started actually trying for many reasons. So this was the first cycle we actually could try and of course it was strange.

But because I have been off it so long, even though we weren't trying and DH travels a lot of work, he is testing me for things.

I will call him and do the blood work again next month and start fresh as a new cycle because this is definitely AF.
