Shorter Cycles

My typical cycle is anywhere between 23 to 24 days. I'm assuming since I have a shorter cycle that I most likely O closer to 12 days instead of the standard 14. Anyone else in this situation?

Re: Shorter Cycles

i don't actually know when i O yet, this will be my first month using an OPK... but I still think it depends. my friend has a regular 28-19 day cycle and she said she O's late, like on CD18. so I don't know if I will be a standard 14 day... I'm going to start OPKs on CD10 and just see....

Re: Shorter Cycles

Could be as early as CD9 or as late as CD14. I usually ovulate on day 14 but my good friend ovulates a few days after AF is gone and she is pregnant with her 2nd child, no problems conceiving. You just have to time Chat Icon a little earlier.

Re: Shorter Cycles

my cycles have been getting shorter with the most recent at 24 days. This cycle is O'd around CD11, as per temping and FertilityFriend. But i believe it can really be a wide range of possibilities, ranging from very early to very late.

Re: Shorter Cycles

I was. My cycles were *usually* 26 days, but I had two that were shorter. The cycle I got my BFP would have been short too. I was temping, and my chart said I O'd on cd 9 or 11!

Short cycles are good though - you have more chances to get a BFP in a single year. As long as your LP is a normal length (10 days or more), you have nothing to worry about.

this is exactly me. I have cycles that are about 26 days, and next cycle i am going use OPK too to see, because I think I actually either O'd very early or very late into my cyle, but I could be totally wrong.

Only sure way to know would be to use OPK's even if its just for 1 or 2 cycles.

My cousin is pregnant and she said her doctor told her that she conceived on CD8. She said that a few days after her AF is finished she O's. I don't know if that's normal, but she is pregnant, so I guess it is! I wouldnt rule out anything!

I think that's how it is for me....AF ended on Sunday and by today I'm getting lines on my OPK. They're not the darkest but each day they keep getting darker and darker so O time is coming. Thanks for the input.
