Short Term Disability
So my job considers maternity leave short term disability and I can get paid up to 4 months of full salary for the time I qualify. My question is, how long do Dr's typically consider you "disabled" for after you give birth (vaginal delivery vs c-section)?
Thanks in advance!!!
Just trying to get an idea about finances!

That is the time the doctor will give you and clear you to go back to work. However you can request on ST-Disability additional time.
I am taking the time allotted and requesting the additional 6 weeks

Re: Short Term Disability
Read the fine print of your policy. There may be a 15 or 30 day period from day 1 of your disability where you are required to use your vacation/sick leave/holidays and not paid disability.
